023: Brian Turner of American Lawsuit Protection Services, Inc. on How To Kill A Lawsuit

Brian TurnerWhat makes a Lawpreneur? Listen as Brian Turner shares what inspired him to hang out his shingle, and his advice to you.

Brian Turner of American Lawsuit Protection Services, Inc is a former businessman who for more than 20 years was the CEO and president of several companies that provided services for the life insurance industry. He’s been involved in numerous lawsuits both as a plaintiff and as a defendant. He explains how a $20,000 nonbinding arbitration award against him and his company unexpectedly and shockingly exploded into a $2 million judgment! He studied and researched the law extensively for the past 20 years. His conclusion is that everybody living in the United States today is highly vulnerable to a lawsuit that could easily wipe them out because of unpredictable jury verdicts and corruption in our legal system. His recommendation is that everyone must take proactive steps to protect themselves against lawsuits and to protect all of their assets. All of this information is clearly explained in a simple step-by-step approach in this guidebook. Brian Turner is an alumnus of the University of Illinois and he now lives in California.

015: Karen Brodie of Get Back on Your Feet on Understanding the Traumatized Witness

Karen Brodie LargeWhat supports a Lawpreneur?  Listen as Karen Brodie of Get Back On Your Feet  shares what she provides to Lawprenuers, her own entrepreneurial journey, and her advice to you.

Karen Brodie is an expert on trauma, both treating it and understanding how it affects the brain. She has worked with celebrities, jail inmates, and just about every social group in between. She also has 17 years of experience working in the legal system and has observed thousands of hours of testimony. These two areas of experience make her uniquely qualified as a resource for trial attorneys who want to make sure that their clients testify with just the right mix of passion and neutrality, and to make sure they sail through cross-examination with flying colors!

Listen as Karen shares how as a court reporter she saw thousands of hours of testimony, and how, now, she can apply Emotional Freedom Techniques to a Lawpreneur’s witness to assist and support them in sharing in the most effective way.

Invisible Heroes: Survivors of Trauma and How They Heal:  If you or someone you love has suffered a traumatic event, you know the devastating impact it can have on your life and your spirit. Life-threatening accidents, illnesses,  assaults, abusive relationships—or a tragedy like 9/11—all can leave deep emotional wounds that persist long after physical scars have healed. Survivors become “invisible heroes,” courageously struggling to lead normal lives in spite of symptoms so baffling and disturbing that they sometimes doubt their own sanity.

Now there is new hope for the millions affected by posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Drawing on more than thirty years’ experience as a therapist and on the most recent cutting-edge research, Belleruth Naparstek presents a clinically proven program for recovery using the potent tool of guided imagery. She reveals how guided imagery goes straight to the right side of the brain, where it impacts the nonverbal wiring of the nervous system itself, the key to alleviating suffering.
